Auto insurance in Arizona
Get the proper insurance protection for all your vehicles.
The right auto insurance policy will properly protect you from financial loss. If your car is damaged or destroyed by an accident, fire, theft, or other event, the right policy will also help you get back on the road quick. The proper automobile insurance policy can be the difference between a minor inconvenience and a major hassle.
Auto insurance is required by law in all states and protects you by paying for damage or injury you cause others while driving your car; damage to your car or injury to you or your passengers in your car from a crash; and certain other occurrences such as theft and vandalism. Without insurance, you risk having to pay the full cost of any harm you cause others with your vehicle.
An insurance policy is essentially a contract between you and your auto insurance company. You pay a premium at a regular interval and the insurance company is legally responsible to cover damages that your policy covers.

Mesa Auto Insurance
Coverage requirements vary by state, but usually include the following:
Liability: It pays for damages due to bodily injury and property damage to others for which you are responsible. Bodily injury damages include medical expenses, lost wages and pain and suffering. Property damage includes damaged property and loss of use of property. State laws usually mandate minimum amounts, but higher amounts are available and usually recommended.
Personal Injury Protection (no-fault coverage): This is required in many states. It pays you or your passengers for medical treatment resulting from a crash, regardless of who may have been at fault, and is often called no-fault coverage. It may also pay for lost earnings, replacement of services and funeral expenses. State law usually sets minimum required amounts.
Medical Payments: This coverage is available in some states (usually the states without no-fault insurance), and pays regardless of who may have been at fault. It pays for an insured person’s reasonable and necessary medical and funeral expenses for bodily injury from a crash.
Collision Insurance: This type of coverage protects your vehicle from damages that result from an accident with another vehicle or with other objects on the road. If your vehicle is in a car accident, the insurance will pay for repairs or if the car is totaled will cover the cost to replace it, up to the fair market value of the vehicle. Collision coverage usually comes with a deductible (the amount you pay before the insurance policy does). The higher the deductible, the less collision coverage will cost.
Comprehensive: This type of coverage protects your vehicle from damages that are a result of things other than a collision. For instance, if your radio was stolen and the burglar broke your window and ruined your dashboard, the auto insurance can cover your losses and fix the damage. Theft, flood, hurricane, windshield damage and fire are commonly covered by comprehensive car insurance. Although not legally required by any state, if your vehicle is financed you will probably need it.
Uninsured Motorist: This pays damages when an insured person is injured in a crash caused by another person who does not have liability insurance or by a hit and run driver.
Underinsured Motorist: This pays damages when an insured person is injured in a crash caused by another person who does not have enough liability insurance to cover the full amount of the damages.
How Much Auto Insurance Do You Need?
Policies are usually for 6 months or a year and the rate you pay for your premium is dependent on many variables including type of coverage, age, type of vehicle, location of residence, credit rating and how you use your vehicle. Each person’s situation is unique and every insurance company has their own formula for calculating the cost of a policy.
